Make Delta 10 THC: What Chemicals are Used?

Delta 10 THC is one of the strongest psychoactive chemicals that we can get from the cannabis plant. It is a version of delta 9 that should provide a similarly intoxicating effect.

This substance was a result of an accident during which cannabis was treated with a fire retardant. Nowadays, companies create these products through solvent extraction by using ethanol chemicals such as the ones found in the Simple Solvents store.

Besides its psychoactive effects, delta 10 THC might also provide certain wellness benefits. Some people use it for pain relief, but it might also help with poor sleep and excess stress. The product is able to stimulate cannabinoid receptors, thus affecting the whole endocannabinoid system.

What is the difference between THC chemicals?

Besides delta THC 10, we also have delta THC 9 and delta THC 8. All of these chemicals cause psychoactive effects and are popular among recreational marijuana users.

Each product is named after the placement of its carbon chain. In other words, delta 10 bonds to a molecule found on the 10th carbon chain, and so on. We refer to these chemicals as “delta” because their potential is unlocked when heat is used as a catalyst.

Delta 8, delta 9, and delta 10 THC are different in terms of their strength. Delta 9 is the strongest one, followed by delta 10 and then delta 8. Delta 9 THC is THC in its most natural form. This is how we find it within the marijuana plant. Only through processing can we get delta 8 and delta 10 chemicals.

Things we know about delta 10 THC

Delta 10 has shown a lot of promise during the initial testing. Due to its strength, it represents the best option for people who recreationally smoke weed. However, as there are still limitations to the production and sales of recreational cannabis, the product cannot be bought in all states.

Unfortunately, we still don't know much about substance's wellness effects. We also don't know much about its potential impact on the brain, and especially its long-term impact. According to a smaller study that involved pigeons, the chemical caused weaker psychoactive effects compared to those of delta 9 THC.

Here are some other things that users have reported:
  • Delta 10 THC definitely causes an intoxicating effect, but it shouldn't be as strong as delta 9.
  • Besides its intoxicating effect, the substance can increase alertness, focus, and energy. In that sense, it is very similar to items that are high in CBD. Furthermore, you are less likely to experience anxiety, paranoia, and raciness, which are common issues that occur after delta 9 consumption.
  • Like delta 9, delta 10 should show up during standard drug screening. As such, this chemical can get you fired or penalized in some other manner.

An interesting thing about delta 10 is that this substance could be a good wellness substitution for delta 9. Given that it is weaker, it will be much easier to control.

If psychoactive effects are still an issue, you should find a product that has a high CBD concentration. Cannabidiol works as a natural THC suppressant of THC 9, and it might provide a similar impact on delta 10 THC.

How did we get delta 10?

Delta 10 because popular practically overnight. However, its origin is rather blurry.

Based on the story that circulates within the cannabis community, the substance was discovered by a Californian cannabis company called Fusion Farms. The brand has bought biomass that was grown in the field.

They wanted to use this plant matter to create concentrates. They didn't know that the biomass was previously processed with a fire retardant as a way of protecting crops from California's wildfires.

Not knowing about the contamination, the company continued with its standard extraction process. Shortly after, they have noticed strange crystals with peculiar structures. After testing this new substance, the company has discovered that this newfound chemical is very similar to CBC, a minor cannabinoid common for the cannabis plant.

After sending the substance to a laboratory, they had a better understanding of its chemical structure. The company started researching the substance and, after some time, they decided to name it delta 10 THC based on its molecular structure.

What are the common benefits of delta 10 THC?

Like with everything else regarding the substance, we don’t know much about its benefits. Our data is mainly based on user feedback. The consumers have reported various improvements, which included elevated mood, happiness, reduction in pain, better sleep, and a few other benefits.

The substance interacts with the endocannabinoid system, like all types of THC. It might provide an even better effect when combined with other cannabinoids and terpenes.

This is the so-called "entourage effect." Experts believe that using full-spectrum CBD oil would be much better than using THC isolates.

Keep in mind that different people will experience different improvements. The list of benefits may also vary based on the exact chemical composition of a product, as well as its quality.

What are the common side effects of delta 10 THC?

Due to its strong impact on the brain, delta 10 THC can cause serious issues in the long run. People who use it for a while might develop mental issues, and in worst cases, psychosis.

However, delta 10 THC isn’t that damaging if you were to use it periodically. Among its common side effects, we need to mention dry mouth, dizziness, disorientation, diarrhea, change in appetite, red eyes, loss of motoric functions, etc.

The odds of experiencing side effects increase as you increase the dosage. If you wish to reduce the chance of unwanted intoxicating effects, you might also consider combining THC with CBD.

Most importantly, you should pay attention to ratios. Products with a 1:1 CBD to THC ratio will still cause psychedelic effects, but as you increase CBD concentration, you are less and less likely to experience the issues.

If you wish to extract various cannabinoids from the hemp and marijuana plants, it is best to use pure ethanol solvent extraction.
